Android Gps Applications
What is good application to use to manage postal addresses for printing labels for personal use?
I’ve used the Microsoft solution of adding addresses in Excel and theb mail merging to Word, but it seems archaic. I end up with many copies of addresses for different occasions, and no master list to work from. It’s a chore every time announcements or invitations go out.
Ideally, I would like:
- One place to manage addresses. Outlook address book is an option, but I would want to keep personal separate from business, and that’s not always easy. So Outlook import or sync isn’t critical.
- Ability to group addresses, such as the ones that I want to send christmas cards to every year.
- Ability to select a bunch of addresses, and send them to a printer where they print on avery mailing labels
- Some integration back to an iphone or android, so that the addresses are available for mapping and GPS purposes.
Excel is the most simple way to do this. Just use different tabs for different kinds of address.
Or, you could put all your addresses on one spreadsheet, then use a column to tell you what kind of address it is – personal, business etc. then use data filtering to display the addresses of a particular type for printing.
