Avmap Gps Ekp Iv
In the market for a Portable GPS unit.?
I am thinkg about buying a Portable GPS unit.. any ideas on choice.. The garmin units seem to be what everybody is talking about.. I found the AvMap on this site.. http://www.jakespilotshop.com/ I like the size of the EKP-IV.. and really like the price compared to the Garmin units.. and ides or thoughts???
The Garmins are pretty sweet, you can get them with XM weather, airport diagrams, and even backup instruments. They can get pretty pricey though, especially for weekend pilots. I’m not very familiar with other GPS systems but for just getting from Point A to Point B, you wouldn’t need to spend a lot.
