What is the current best GPS app for the iPhone (3GS iOS4.1)?
I am taking a trip in a few days. I will be driving between DC, Philly, Boston, NYC, and possibly Bridgeport CT. There are a few GPS apps in the store, but the prices are so varied, I’m not sure what’s worth it.
The TomTom app is supposed to be getting very good critical acclaim. However, it’s a memory hog and will absolutely destroy any hopes of battery life after you navigate. Look at the reviews for each app and see what people are saying. If I were you though, I’d bite the bullet and just get the TomTom app, or just buy a designated GPS unit. GPS unit’s work better too.
