Jailbreak Or downgrade iphone 3GS 4.0 Baceband 5.13.05?

I’m have a 3GS FW 4.0. It came with 3.1.3 fw and I did a jailbreak with spirit. The gps stopped working so I did a restore from the phone. It froze half way and shutdown. I could not get it to work. It was stuck on the apple logo and none of the restores would. work with iTunes . I got the up date 4.0 to work but now I can’t jailbreak it. I have searched on the Internet and all I could find was some bata programs and downgrade. I thank my best bet would be to downgrade and I looked up how to do that but nothing works. I thank I’m doing something wrong. So what I’m asking for is if someone would give me step by step instructions on how to downgrade from 4.0 to 3.1.3.
