Tracking devices for cats???
My cat keeps on escaping and getting lost. He did it 4 times already and is currently lost. I have a good feeling that he knows his way back.
any ideas on how to keep him from going outside every time i open the door?
is there a site that i can buy a gps thingy and attach it to his collar?

Is he neutered? If not, he may be more likely to try to escape because he wants to go and breed. Get him fixed, it may help.
Just pay close attention when you open the door. You can block him from escaping if you use your foot (not to kick him just to block his escape).
Microchips are only useful if:
1. The cat has a microchip
2. The cat ends up at a place where they have a microchip scanner
3. Someone actually scans the cat
4. That person takes the time to call the microchip company and track down his information
5. That person contacts you
A microchipped animal lost in the woods might as well not have a microchip because someone has to scan it for it to be useful.
The few GPS tracking collars I’ve seen are expensive … $500 and up.
Is there a neighbor’s house nearby he could be going to and they are feeding him? Maybe ask around.
