how do i hardwire my gps to my car?

i have a Delphi GPS unit that i would like to hard wire directly to my car battery (assuming through the fuse box?).. im 21 and an electronic lover.. So i would also love to hard wire my XM radio, my iPod charger, Ambient Lighting, and of course the GPS.. is that at all possible or plausible?.. am i going to need another car battery?..

You won’t need another battery, just a good power source. If you wire directly to your battery, you should install a switch to turn it all off so as not to drain your battery. Personally, I would tap into the power wire that goes to your car radio and install inline fuses for each device.
