Free Gps Scavenger Hunt

Has anyone ever been Geocaching?

It’s like a giant scavenger hunt with things hidden all over the world. http://www.geocaching.com/ here’s the website if you want to check it out if you haven’t already but any ways to my question. I did this yesterday for the first time and was only able to find 1 out of the 4 we looked for, so is it common for things to be moved or taken when you go or is it that i’m not really good and just wasn’t able to locate them (again it was my first time.) Also if you haven’t done it it’s actually pretty fun and it’s free, you’ll just need a gps to track it (most smart phones have them already and you can download an app to get precise locations.)

I have been geocaching for years, and I love it! In fact my family has planted some of our own caches. And yes, it is extremely common for caches to get stolen or lost. Four of my siblings and I each had our own travel bug that was put in a cache in Cali and each had to “race” back to NY. Three of the five went missing within a month. Additionally our own cache has been stolen at least twice and at one point had all the tradeables in it taken out. So yes it is quite common!
