Garmin Gps Auto Reviews
A good auto GPS?
I’d like to find a good GPS for my bf for Christmas. Not too worried about price. Reading reviews, I’m liking the TomToms and Garmin Nuvi’s. I’d like it to have the multiple destination routing, bluetooth, capacity to connect to car stereo, traffic alerts, and whatever bells and whistles the higher end units have. Screen and general quality is really important! Thanks for the input!!!
I like the Garmin nuvi series the best. Compact design; beautiful, high resolution screen with excellent touch-screen sensitivity; many useful, customizable features; accurate mapping data; and very intuitive user interface (Magellan is also very good here). In descending price order, nuvi 760, then 660, then 360.
Here is a comparison that also shows prices in post-Thanksgiving sales: http://www.gpsmagazine.com/2007/11/cyber_monday_gps_deals_guide.php

Magellan Maestro 4250 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator $350.00 We’ve been big fans of Magellan’s Maestro line since it came out in early 2006. The Maestro interface is incredibly easy to use, even for those who are not completely comfortable with electronics. At the same time, Magellan was ahead of the industry with useful innovations like multi-destination routing and pre-loaded reviews for points of interest like hotels and restaurants (from AAA). With it’s… |
