Which is a better GPS GARMIN or TOMTOM and why? Any good/bad experiences with either?

I would look to the Garmin Nuvi 200 line, depending on what additional features that you want over the ones that you mentioned. I’ve had very good service from Garmin, and have had them go above and beyond in helping with problems.
