Gps Abstract
I got a ‘disobey sign’ ticket while travelling in Toronto. Will that show in my Alberta driver’s abstract?
I was on a business trip in Toronto and decided to rent a car over the weekend. On my second day of driving, I got pulled over by a ghost cop and did not understand why. I was told I disobeyed the “Don’t turn right on a red light” sign. Apparently, this is the first time that I’ve ever heard of this rule in my entire life. All I know is that I can turn right on a red light with caution. Considering that I’m a visitor and I am not familiar with their roads at all (got preoccupied by the GPS), I missed that sign and got a $110 fine. Will that affect my Alberta Driver’s abstract? Although I feel bad paying for it, my utmost concern is the demerit points that could potentially increase my insurance premiums. Anybody know if a 2-demerit points in Ont be carried over to AB?
