Gps Abuse
Effects of Alcohol Abuse & Secret Information On How You Can Reverse The Damage
Problem drinking
You can divide problem drinking into 3 distinct areas routed in severity, duration, behavioral patterns and the consequences that may result from consuming alcohol.
Hazardous Drinking
Consuming alcohol in quantities that could result in you harming yourself of others is considered hazardous drinking (or binge drinking). This is defined as drinking for the purpose of becoming drunk and/or consuming more than double the RDA of alcohol in one period. If this you do this rarely you are more than likely not dependent on alcohol and are not likely to suffer any long term effects but it can still cause you or someone damage (hangovers, violence, social mistakes, etc). This is just one of the effects of alcohol.
Harmful Drinking
A good example of this is consistent binge drinking. Drinking this way may signal that you are dependent on alcohol and may lead to developing long term problems with your health.
Alcohol Dependence
If you find yourself giving alcohol priority over other areas of your life, you may well be dependent on alcohol. It may be the case that you drink during the day, large amounts in one go, or have withdrawal symptoms in between drinking sessions. Alcohol dependency often leads on to very serious long term health complications.
Problem Drinking Symptoms
Short term
Consuming a small quantity of alcohol may result in you feeling more relaxed and less on edge. As you increase the amount your consuming, alcohol starts suppressing the area of your brain responsible for judgment, which may result in inappropriate behavior and less inhibitions. Domestic violence, road traffic accidents and violent attacks can all have alcohol as the contributing factor.
Your coordination, sight, vocals and sense of balance will all be negatively effected by alcohol.
Consuming too much in one sitting can cause unconsciousness and even induce a coma. Vomiting while in this state could cause you to choke and could even kill.
Problem Drinking Complications
Long-term
Consuming too much alcohol will likely develop a range of long term health complications, these include:
Damage to your liver, heart and/or brainInflammation of the stomach and/or pancreasIncrease in blood pressure levelsCancerSeizureimpotence/infertilitymental health conditions
Consuming alcohol over an extended period of time can increase anxiety leading to depression, loss of memory and even dementia. Sleep problems, swings in mood, violent behavior and even suicide are not that uncommon.
What Can Cause Problem Drinking?
There are many reasons. Problems with your friend or family, money worries, problems with the law, and/or employment issues can all lead towards alcohol abuse.
Problems can occur from simply developing the habit of drinking in certain situations, maybe at the weekends, after you finish work or on your lunch break. The longer these habit have existed the harder it can be to manage these situations without drinking.
How to diagnose a drinking problem
Your GP is a great place to start. They will more than likely ask you questions such as:
Any anytime have you had thoughts that you should cut back on the amount you drink?Has anyone angered you by asking to many questions about your drinking?Has your drinking ever lead to feelings of guilt or that you are a bad person?Have you ever drunk alcohol in the morning to relive the symptoms of a hangover?Your GP may also ask about any physical symptoms you may be having:
Sweating, shakes, feeling agitated, feeling unwell when attempting to cut down the amount you drink, build up of tolerance towards alcohol, blackouts, continuing to consume alcohol despite concerns it may harm you.
Treating problem drinking
Some GP’s will ask you to keep a ‘drinking journal’. This will give a clear picture of the amount you drink and also help with identifying situations where you may be drinking too much, as long as you are truthful and accurate.
If you are not dependent on drinking alcohol but would like to cut back these tips may help.
Have a drink with contains less alcohol.Take your time drinking and have a soft drink in between each alcoholic drink.Skip to drink after you finish workLet other people know your goals so they can hold you accountable.
Ways to Help Reverse the Damage Done By The Effects of Alcohol
Drink less following the tips above.
Try to maintain a healthy balanced diet, rich in nutrients that will help your body to recover such as green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean protein sources, filtered and/or bottled water.
Take a supplement made from AFA. Adult stem cells are your bodies natural system of renewal. When they are released from where they are abundantly found in your bone marrow they will migrate to areas in your body that need repairing, transforming into millions of new cells. This helps your body to repair any damage already done and also maintain optimal health. AFA has been used by NASA to help astronauts repair the damage done to their brains by G forces. The right AFA supplement can help you to repair the damage done by drinking.
