Gps Accessories Garmin Nuvi Charger
garmin360 GPs keeps over loading when charging from cigarette lighter attached to charging system on motorbike?
i installed a garmin approved car charger for my garmin nuvi 360 on a 2003 honda shadow. system runs as follows. 1. battery accessory terminal to cig lighter. garmin approved charging device to GPS. when GPS shows low battery and charger is hooked up GPS seems to charge almost instantly BUT goes into a on/off loop. when i hook GPS up to PC at home everything seems to go back to normal. it DOES NOT show as charged. i suspect GPS is getting too strong a signal. i left all fuses intact on cig lighter attachment. i would assume both cars and bikes are 12 volts etc. as well just as a diagnostic check the same battery ACCESSORY terminal that GPS is running on is the one i use to recharge battery with BATTERY charger….?
1. The charger is not connected to the correct port. Some devices have a USB port or an additional USB port and should not be used as a 12v connection:
2. The 12v cable could be damaged or not compatible with the Garmin nuvi that it is being used on.
