How will the chip inside the Tomtom iPhone cradle boost the GPS signal?
I know that there is a chip inside of the cradle, but what I care about is how that signal is relayed to the iPhone. I’m tired of waiting for the Tomtom app to come out, so I’m considering the already available Navigon app (and from what I am reading, the Navigon app is way better than the Tomtom app can even hope for). So I guess my question should include the following: “and can the GPS chip inside the cradle boost the signal for all GPS enabled applications?”

I’m only guessing here, but I reckon the GPS chip will enhance all GPS apps on the iPhone. I’ve got the Navigon on my iPhone already, it’s not bad to look at but not many options, no speed camera functionality and not as easy to navigate around what little options there are as a stand alone TomTom in my opinion.
