Gps External Battery
Car GPS acting funny?
I have a GPS for my car and every so often it doesn’t get power from the power cord. It says “external power lost” and switches to battery power.
Sometimes it doesnt’ turn on at all when I start the car because it’s not getting power.
I know it’s not the contact in the car charger because the charger light is on.
What can I do?
By the way, I don’t have any of the
warranty info since I received it as a gift.
I AM willing to pay for it to be fixed however.
try checking the fuse in the cord, its going to be int he cigarette lighter end of the cord just unscrew the tip, then try buying another car power cord because it could be something in the cord itself if its not the fuse, just because the end that plus in the cigarette lighter is fine don’t mean the whole cord is fine, if that doesn’t fix it then its something to do with the connector in the GPS so you’d have to send that off to the manufacturer
