Gps Golf Range Finders
Using my blackberry to determind golf course yardages?
I have a blackberry tour and was wondering if there was a way to take advantage of the GPS capabilities to determine golf course yardages. I would like to be able to walk a course, go to key locations, press a button then walk to the green and press another button to record the yardage, and ofcourse, do that many times for multiple holes.
Any ways of doing that without purchasing a range finder? My buddy has one, they tend to pick up far too many various background objects which give the wrong yardage.

You might be better served looking for a golf-specific GPS app. Range finders are very accurate (more than GPS, by a yard or so) but you do need a steady hand to shoot at the flagstick.
