GPS application in the mearing of bridge and road construction

The principle of GPS leveling

The location of the sample point will be fixed with the simutaneous observing data of the base station.

Because the equipment can realize the system integration perfectly, people usually name it the total station electronic tacheometer. Compared with it, GPS is more powerful. It doesn’t cost much manpower and material. It features with high precision, low cost, snap action, interference rejection and high reliability.
You can complete the measuring of the area with a radius of 15 kilometers by setting one station. Much time is saved compared with the tradional method. One people can do the observing and get the three-dimensional coordinate.
All in all, the GPS technology will be maturer and maturer with the constant progress of the science and technology. Some shortages existed at present will be made up in the future work. In the future bridge and road construction, it will better serve people and bring benefits to the all humanity.
