Gps Lane Assist Feature
Looking for a gps,what is the most necessary features to look for?
I have never owned a GPS but i am planning a trip more than 1000 miles.I can spend about 2 hundred and i do not mind a refurbished.I am pretty sure i want one with lane assist,text to voice.I am curious though if i stop at a gas station will the gps automatically put me back right on track or do i have to have one with auto re route?I need one that is extremely easy to use and i would like a 5 inch.Anyone know of any that have those features?Is there something i’m missing that would be nice to have?Thank You
I find lane assist to be magically inaccurate just when you need it most,
and voice is just irritating. “Recalculating…” sounds just like “You idiot” ala Ren & Stimpy.
Anyway,
Find one that you can see the directions at a glance (not the map so much as great big arrows)
and get one that plays mp3s so you’ll have something to do when you are lost (I guess).
