in california i got pulled over for using my gps system on my phone,?
the officer said the law states any cell phone activity but i thought it was only texting and calling, should i fight it?
Under California law the only GPS units you can use are those “permanently ” attached to your car near the lower left corner of your windshield so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road.
GPS displays on cell phones cause you to look away from the road, therefore are considered the same as talking or texting and, as you discovered, make you subject to getting a citation.
