Gps Lifetime Map Updates
What does free lifetime maps mean?
I am thinking about getting a gps from Wal-Mart it cost 89 dollars and it says free lifetime maps.I then found out that it cost 40 – 60 dollars to do a map update so I’m wondering if the free lifetime map updates are free or not
If it say free it will be free with a but!!! I have had GPS for several years and will no longer worry about the so called upgrades. I have not found the upgrades helpful and by the time you do need an upgrade the new GPS on the market are so much better its not worth my time. For what the upgrade will cost, by buying or with the GPS I’ll just buy a new GPS. By the way read the fine print… lifetime up grade only mean as long as the upgrade are available. So that is not really what I call lifetime. I paid for the upgrade on my first GPS and can no longer upgrade it… so much for that wasted money… I could replace the GPS for less than the upgrade cost me.
