Robbed by duplex neighbor, what can I do?
I live in a duplex, and I have discovered some of my missing (stolen) property in their basement apartment. I considered her an acquaintance, and would have coffee with her once every couple weeks. She invited me in today to show me her new purse (which disappeared from my apartment weeks ago.) I did not confront her, because I wanted to get some insight from the police first. I can’t believe this is happening to me, she has 4 of my things: a purse, throw pillows, an external hard drive, and a GPS navigation system. What should I do?!
Take pictures. Find your receipts. File a police report. Get a mediator to go with you and take the property back.
