install portable GPS?
My wife’s new car got the “Perma Plate” treatment. I tried to stick the adhesive disk on the dash for the GPS suction cup mount. The disk has the stickiest glue on earth on it, but it will not stick to the dash after the treatment. It’s illegal to stick the sucker on the front windshield in California, though I see lots of folks with theirs stuck there. I want to do things right, so how do you stick the disk on a treated dash?
I’m unfamiliar with the ‘perma plate’ treatment but if neither glue or suction cups stick to it, your only option may be screws, which would suck b/c you got this treatment to protect the dash. I would recommend you contact the manufacturer and see what advise they give you
