anyways. are there any GPS receivers that will connect to my computer or connect through bluetooth? if so can you give me some less-expensive models. also is it possible to run the GPS and have it show me where i am on a map without internet so that i can use for directions

check out Microsoft Streets and Trips. It is a maping program that has a GPS antenna/receiver included. Works great. Costs under 100$.
