Can a skin tag on your eyelid be removed in ONTARIO in a GPs office and covered under OHOP?
I went to a dropin clinic and an eye doctor wants to charge me 400 dollars to take off ONE SKIN TAG on my eyelid. He is already getting paid for the office visit. They used to be done in a GPs office for free……….
its not for cosmetics. It looks awful and its causing me headaches………..
Unfortunately that’s considered ‘cosmetic’ since it really poses no threat to health and is just something that esthetically people want done. So, that’s why its not covered.
