Gps Tracking Chip For Kids
why is my son embarassed about his new phone?
My son (12) in high school (Australia) recently said that he wanted a mobile phone. At first me and my husband were skeptical. He said all his friends had one and to me that is not a good reason. I see kids all the time with expensive phones and i say “Why do they need one, we got along just fine as kids without mobile phones”. Eventually we had a look online and read some articles on phone safety for kids and decided that it would be ok for him to have one as long as we made it safe first.
We picked out the firefly phone for him and purchased it off ebay. We chose this because it has no internet access and is only able to make calls to selcted numbers. It also has a gps tracking chip.
When we gave it to him he said that he didnt like it and said he would be to embarassed to show it to his frinds. He said all og his friends had better phones. Who cares? all you need a phone for is calling. You dont need texting and all that rubbish. Why is he so embarassed to have this phone?
It’s not so much that he’s embarrassed, he’s ungrateful.
