Gps Tracking Keychain
GPS Chip Tracker for a person?
I would like to know if there is any type of GPS microchip that goes inside the body, I don’t need a box or keychain, I want something that is going to be inside of me that can track me or my family, (for security purposes not for snooping where the other person is at), if there is where can I find it, or what is it called? Link? and is it reliable?

Not that I’m aware of. There are several problems in trying to do this. First, the chip needs power. You would have to have batteries somehow connected to the chip and be able to recharge and replace them as needed. Second, you need an antenna to receive the satellite signals. They aren’t small, about 2″ square and 1/2″ thick. Third, the GPS signals are pretty much line-of-sight. They don’t penetrate buildings, tree cover, or even cloud cover very well. So the reception if the satellite signals is not assured. Forth, to track someone the GPS position would also have to be transmitted back to some receiver. This means you would also need a transmitter in your body.
The easiest way would be to have a GPS equipped cell phone. It’s still not assured because of the GPS reception issues stated earlier, but it is available and it works as well as anything. The cell phone uses the cell network to report its location. I just saw an article in the news about locating people through cell phone GPS tracking but I can’t find it at this moment.
