Which is the best touchscreen phone with wifi?

I am planning to buy a touch screen phone with large display and Wifi. Also this would be my first phone. I am planning to buy Samsung Wave 525.
I am not the only one who would be using this phone but my dad, sister & mom just for checking emails. So my question is that does this phone can read .pdf,.doc,.xls documents .

Also will it be able to install yahoo messenger, g talk,skype etc in this phone, also is it possible to do voice calls using these messengers using the WiFi.

I am thinking to you this phone as a mini tablet.

Also is there any other phones similar to this with wifi & gps, which is possible to use as a mini tablet i.e. facilitating usage of yahoo messenger with voice, g talk, etc. in the same price group or less than rupees 10000.
