Nikon Gps Geo Tagging
What is the most reliable geo-tagging device for photographers that travel a lot?
I’m a photographer that does a fair amount of travel, and I’ve recently been wanting to see where my photos are taken because it would be fun and also practical to sort them by location. I shoot with a Nikon d5000 dSLR, and although I know that Nikon offers a GPS unit for the camera, I’m not willing to spend $200 on it. I’d like to spend less than $100. Also, I don’t want a GPS unit that only works while taking pictures, because I’d like to be able to track my travels even when I’m not constantly taking photos. I was considering the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it, and would like to know from someone’s personal experience what other good geo-taggers are out there. Let me know what good geo-tagging software is out there also; I use a Mac running Snow Leopard, but also have a Windows XP computer. Thanks!
