So lets get this right, if a pet is microchiped, it isnt a gps tracker, but holds information about the pet, and whos to say everyone who finds a lost and found pet is going to turn it in, even with no collar. orwellian.
Yes no gps. A microchip is a rice sized piece that stores data. When the animal is turned in at an animal shelter or vet clinic the animal is scanned. If they are chipped a number pops up, that number is then traced to the owner through the microchip’s company.
