Tomtom Gps Lifetime Traffic
Traffic on Tomtom XL 350 TM ?
How do I set it up? It says free lifetime traffic updates but when I downloaded the Tomtom Home program when I press Traffic, it says there’s nothing to download, and theres no traffic settings on the GPS. Helpp?
life time traffic means that the TomTom has a radio antenna built into the power cable.
this antenna allows it to receive RDS-TMC (Radio Data Service – Traffic Message Channel) which many (but not all!) radio station send out in an inaudible frequency along their radio program.
the basic service is free and available on some modern car radio sets but is limited to highways and is more or less identical to the traffic informations the radio stations send out from time to time.
